Uh, huh. Show me a video of a functional prototype, not a CG gif. Kickstarters, indiegogo's, gofundme's and pre-order financed startups are useless without having functional prototypes... infact, that's probably why they aren't on Kickstarter. They require functional prototypes.
I give 50/50 odds on this not being a scam. Even if it isn't, there's still a chance they pull the plug because they can't figure out how to pull it off.
That's a pretty scathing takedown. What remains to be seen is if it is a genuine attempt that's going to cave in due to overambitious claims they can't back up due to technological failures... or if it's an outright con.
Don't confuse my skepticism with my cynicism in this. I'm skeptical due to the lack of a prototype and the tech hurdles they have to pass. I'm cynical because there have been too many crowd funded "projects" that have turned out to be little more than vaporware that often vanished with your money and no results.
Well said. Whether they actually come through or not, I'm sure someone will. It's just a matter of time before all our clothing is app enabled. Maybe even makeup and tattoos? The tech is here it's just still in its infancy.
Agreed. It *is* possible... or will be very soon. I am reminded however that however cool it will be at first, it will eventually become ubiquitous... and probably occasionally annoying.
Like the animated musical cereal box in Minority Report that Tom Cruise'ship charecter bashes on the table to shut it up.
WHAT IF IT RAINS
IF I STEP TOO HARD DOES THE SCREEN CRACK
