Some wines do have to be cooled and some don't. And whether you cool a wine or not is should really be based on your personal preference, not what is considered right or wrong.

White wines mostly, around 6 to 8 degrees (only if you need to store it for a years for example), but you need to know that normaly stocking wines in a fridge is bad. Wines "breath" their flavor will be damaged by the other aliments as they absorb the scent (thats why you don't store cheese and wine in the same room)
