It's because they have the same/similar ancestor?
And they keep it the same to this day to show friendly/unity relationship

They're all based on the Dannebrog, the Danish flag, because Denmark is kinda like the granddaddy of Northern European kingdoms

I think you mean the Nordic countries. Scandinavia is just Denmark, Norway and Sweden
