Believe me, that's not the case. I dislike both candidates, and I really wish we had a third option to not elect either of them, then wait until a better candidate comes along.
Hillary isn't the best candidate but she's perfectly capable of being president. Just cause you dont someone doesn't mean their not capable. Like I can't belive people are hesitant with Hillary when Trump is the other ducking candidate.
That's pretty much my thinking. You're never going to get a perfect candidate. Everyone has skeletons in their closet (voters included), so I have to think that the constant harping on emails means the right couldn't find much else on her.
At the very least, I feel comfortable that she'll be able to work with our allies effectively, not to mention she won't pit our own fellow Americans against each other like Drumpf has been doing during his campaign.

At the very least, I feel comfortable that he'll be tough on immigration, not to mention he won't alienate tons of Americans by calling them racists, xenophobes, bigots, sexists, and islamophobes, like Crooked Hillary's been doing during her campaign.
Oh, Trump goes out of his was seemingly every day to put a new nail in his campaign's coffin. Racism and bigotry is just the tip of the iceberg. So that's out.
He'll be tough on immigration? How? Does he have a plan for immigration reform? If so, a realistic one? Does he actually believe he can round up and kick out all mexicans here illegally? Or does he just change his tune depending on his audience? Next.
Is Hillary really alienating the ACTUAL racists, xenophobes, bigots, sexists, and islamophobes, or have they all alienated America? Not only that, but didn't it come out that it was more like 60% of his voters, not half? And since we're on the subject of alienation, Trump has managed to alienate several entire RACES of people, and the only reason I can think of for him to do that is because he must think the majority of Americans are racist, think the same way, and will be more than happy to undo a century of 1st world, leading world power progress by voting for him.
Your selected editorial source is awesome. "If you think Obama is a Muslim you are a racist?" (Paraphrased) How is that a logical conclusion? http://www.danielpipes.org/5845/barack-obama-through-muslim-eyes Many Muslims believe (or did believe) him to be Muslim. Hillary's 2008 campaign made it a campaign issue. (Hillary's 2008 campaign also started the "birther" movement, but i digress)
"If you think that the African American community tends more toward violence than the Caucasian American community you are a racist?" (Paraphrase) How about a statistician?
http://blogs.channel4.com/factcheck/factcheck-black-americans-commit-crime/19439 The statistics lend credence to the claim but this author is hesitant to admit that is true. Do not cite editorials as fact, it's beneath you and any of us can cherry pick data and pen an article that supports our preconceived notions.
It's not, and it's explained IN the article.
You can't just ask people if they are racist and expect an honest answer. You have to ask a shitton of proxy questions to get an idea on how they view the world.
No cherry picking was done. I don't have time to waste on that. It was literally one of the first things that came up when searching "how many of trumps supporters are in the basket of deplorables?"
Then the threshold of bigotry has been changed. I believe that an inordinate number of suicide bombers are Muslims. Does that make me an Islamaphobe? I believe that illegal immigration is a problem on many levels. Does that make me a xenophobe?
"Trump goes out of his was seemingly every day to put a new nail in his campaign's coffin."
He's neck and neck with Hillary.
"Does he have a plan for immigration reform?"
Probably about as much as Hillary has a plan for working with allies.
"or have they all alienated America?"
What does that mean? They're Americans, they can't alienate themselves from themselves.
"Trump has managed to alienate several entire RACES of people"
Not directly or deliberately, like Hillary did.
Also, the polls in that slate article are horseshit. Like pokethebear showed, conflating things like thinking Obama is a Muslim to being racist is disingenuous at best.
@pokethebear It makes you an islamaphobe as soon as you start making policy that affects Muslims in general. It makes you a xenophobe if you think mass deportation is the answer, and actual, genuine immigration reform is not highly important.
@garlog All you're managing to do is show how willfully ignorant you are. Not even going to dignify any of that with a response.
As if I needed more evidence that you argue purely for argument's sake...
You'll have to forgive me if I don't want to spend my friday spinning my wheels with you.
"As if I needed more evidence that you argue purely for argument's sake"
My assertion that you have no argument doesn't really say anything about my motives.
"You'll have to forgive me if I don't want to spend my friday spinning my wheels with you."
Yet still you continue to post.
If you keep commenting, you just keep the argument alive. Neither of you are going to win the argument, so why bother keeping it going? Don't get me wrong, it's fun to watch, but the joke's gotten old.
"Would me not commenting further make you happy?"
Not any more than I already am.
"Would it give you a little victory chub in your widdle pantaloons?"
No.

Found the article I believe was quoted from in the last week or so. Can't remember where I first heard it, though.
Keep those silent downthumbs coming, politisubstance!
