Why do people even care about idiots who fantasize about transgender pets? That's not a problem for anyone. Unless you want to make it one. And why would you? My guess is: because you cannot be openly homophobe any more AND have society's general approval at the same time. So people start looking for strawmen and find them in the couple dozend weirdos on tumblr et.al. and be offended by them same as their grandfathers were by homosexuals.
