I've seen your comment above. I know what your opinion is, and I have a different one. You don't HAVE TO remind me of it.
Also, the animated movies/series point still stands.
Truth can be deduced from definition of words and phrases like "good tv" I understand if you like it, but it is at best kinda ok(with a major scaling down of the importance of writing).
There are certain objective criteria, but those criteria are usually concerning the technical side of something, and considering DC has enough money to make it technically almost perfect, some things are just really up to the viewer.
Me too (that's why I love BioWare games) but you gotta realize that the target audience for those shows is teenage kids who might not have the same standards/tastes as me or you. I love deep, complicated stories as well but sometimes I just want to relax with something more simple.
It's not embedded superiority to say I hated plots with idiotic characters, plot holes, inconsistencies etc.... I've gotten better at sacrificing scientific consistency in exchange for the plot, but they still go way over the line.
It's pretty ironic that you say this even though DC usually has better character psychology.
Now I'm no fanboy, I like both and I'm totally willing to admit that the last few DC movies were crap, but Marvel is usually just pure entertainment while DC has a few scoops of psychological analysis and even existentialism added to that. Sure, Marvel has some emotional scenes as well like when Black Widow talked about her training, but they never ever mention the psychological trauma of being a hero, Marvel heroes are just happy-go-lucky serial killers. What I like about DC is that they show the responsibility Superman has on his shoulders, or the fact that despite Batman being a vigilante fanatic, he has a deep moral code of no killing and he often struggles with his nature, or Deathstroke's sense of honor despite him being a merc, or even Joker's complex and chaotic mind and his relationship with Harley whom he abuses, psychologically and physically.
You don't see that in Marvel because they're more entertaining but consequently more shallow. And since you say you hated comic books and cartoons about superheroes, I assume you're judging solely by the movies, which means you have about 5% of the actual knowledge about the universes. Therefore, whatever I say will fall on deaf ears because you don't know what I'm talking about and are proud of that ignorance because you have "standards".
Edit: I'd also like to add that Marvel produces movies like a friggin factory so the really bad ones get lost among the good/mediocre ones. Funny that everybody always mentions BvS and Suicide Squad but if you mention the newer Fantastic Four movie or the last X-men movie they pretend you didn't say anything or get super triggered.
I haven't had much exposure to them. Mostly just iron man, captain America and the avengers. And agent of shield. As for happy go lucky "serial killers", I don't agree with that. Either way, I still prefer that to happy go lucky idiots(flash). And have you watched arrow? That just about covers my experience with those.
I like Flash but I've only seen a few episodes of Arrow. My friend really likes Arrow but I just don't have the time and the first few episodes I watched were pretty mediocre so I decided to give it a pass. Speaking of series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is totally mediocre imo but nobody bashes it as much as they bash DC's series. Why?
Still, only knowing live action series and movies is far from having an objective view, DC is generally a lot better at animated stuff and comics while Marvel rocks live action.
Not a fan at all. I just like it ok. If you want a nice discussion actually try it. Like, you know, actually discussing things instead of throwing opinions.
I mean we can continue to blast opinions at each other or discuss the reasons behind them. I'd hardly call the "I like this""I like that""I like this""I like that" a discussion.
That's exactly what I've been trying to explain to you at the beginning though. I said different people have different tastes from you and then you proceeded to call those tastes shit. So yeah, it's nice that you finally understand that I may like different stuff than you, because this was going nowhere.
Complaining about quality and consistency errors is hardly a fanboy war. And the words idiot and Neanderthal are more aptly applied to you than anyone else in this chain. I suggest you go find yourself a good dictionary, moron.
