sweetie, yes.
there has been research 10% of abortions have complications, admittedly most are minor, but 3-5% of abortions leave the woman sterile. The risk of sterility is even greater for women who are infected with a venereal disease at the time of the abortion.
Homophobe or not, I don't want that Christian to be governing what I can or cannot do. And I want women to still be able to choose what they want to do with their bodies, with little hassle or strain. The people who stand against these things are people, but they're also the enemy to progress.
But surely if the Christian does not let their religion influence their work in any way, then having them in a position of political power will be just the same as having someone who is atheist or of another religion
And what would be the problem with having an unbiased judge? However, I'm most specifically referring to the "religious freedom" laws they've been trying to pass, ones that actually only pertain to Christianty, which would allow people to deny business to gays. Sorta sucky on a small scale, but in practice, unacceptable. And you can still be fired for being gay in many states.
@praetorreyna In theory, yes. but the problem is that just doesn't happen. Like for abortion laws it's all about god making these babies and that they are using their religion to make these laws against it and no science. It's a bias that can't be helped. Anyone who has a religion has views based on it and most of the world isn't religious or has the same faith so having a person of a particular faith in power making rules would benefit their faith and not the whole populace of the place they are governing. Anyways, have the rest of a good Sunday!
Actually, I'm Christian, but for me, I don't let it impact my views on the world in any way. Those that use the teachings of their religion, in this case the Bible, to rule people in an unfair way are not following their religion properly, and sometimes basing it all off incorrect translations and interpretations. The religious people in charge are getting older and are not going to be in charge forever and from what I've seen, the next generation of religious people who may end up in positions of power alongside non religious people are a lot more understanding of other people and know that not everything is still relevant today.
That's incredible how you don't let your beliefs impact your world view in any way. Most people's definitions of right and wrong are defined by their beliefs, yet somehow your actions are independent of that. Maybe that guy who raped that passed-out woman did the same...rape may be wrong, but he didn't let his beliefs interfere with his actions.
Look, I don't believe in restricting a woman's "right to choose," but if you believe (as many Christians do) that the unborn baby is a life, how can you NOT think abortion is wrong? Otherwise,it's like saying "I believe murder is wrong, but if your beliefs are different, that's OK!"
I know that nobody would change their views on abortion thanks to this reply, but at least see that:
1. Those mean old Christians aren't trying so much to infringe on your body but protect (what they see as) an innocent life,
2. It's pretty stupid to say your world view isn't influenced by your beliefs.
Some of my world views will probably be influenced by my beliefs, but not in any way that is harming for others. Also, you're reply didn't change my view on abortion because I was already pro choice. It's the woman's body, so it should be her choice, not some old guy in his fifties or sixties that's never been put in that position. Abortion is something that I don't think I would be ever able to go through myself, but then again, I've never been put in that position where I've had to make that decision. And just because I couldn't do it, doesn't mean I'd shame a woman who did or turn my back on someone who had an abortion and needed me to be there for them.

I'm pretty sure this is just a joke
"Lost his daughter to a botched abortion" gives it away
"The fact the op believes this"
Did you fucking read the title?
This is a post bashing some fucking idiotic tumblr kid screaming about equality. Have you MET me? I'm kind to no one.
I dunno what sorta website you got this off of, but intentions are notoriously hard to read on the internet. You are kind to no one, thus claiming such a thing would be perfectly normal, if only to incite a response.
Dude. I'm the biggest asshole on this website. My posts are rape jokes, I give people advice on how to butcher and sell the parts of children for money. I'm also probably the reason of a couple tumblr users suicides. Or at least I hope I am. How the fuck have you not met me.
I'm really bad with names, thus the actions of one douchebag on this website tend to blend together with that of another. It's hard for me to recall what type of douche I'm dealing with.

@ambertek what you're doing really isn't something to brag about. It's sickening really...
Alas, what can you do? If someone wants to be an absolute dick to everyone in the hopes that someone will actually like it, then there's not much we can actually do to stop them.
@thesassiestllama
No, to over sensitive children it's sickening. None of it is ACTUALLY bad. What's wrong with it? Ooohh noo, am I gonna offend somebody? Terrible.

Literally Hoping you made someone kill themself is pretty bad
"I'm gonna be a dick to everyone and if you're offput by it, that's your fault, you sjw." Honestly, I'm not bothered too much by it, but I am not fond of anyone who encourages suicide, regardless of who it is, aside from a small, selective, and highly hypothetical group of people who may need such encouragement.
If they get offended over EVERYTHING IN LIFE how do you think they're gonna raise their kids? Human emotional and mental stability is starting to PLUMMET! Honestly, it would be better if they all just killed themselves. It'd save the human mind. If not, in the next like 20 years "Trigger list name tags" will be a mandatory thing to wear in public.
Guest, if you wanna have a conversation then stop being a pussy and get on your actual account. Hate that people are too fucking scared to talk about anything "oh so sensitive" on their real accounts.
.
And ya, that's about my motto. I don't care who I hurt in the process. I like having my fun, and honestly they would do the same if they had been raised properly.
As a homosexual, clepto-necro-pedo-beastie-pyromaniac, I find it hard to be accepted for stealing dead male animals and setting them on fire while fucking them. I mean everyone has their kinks. Keep your laws and religion out of my basement.
Yes, this is quite true.
That democrat who you called a money-obsessed snob was actually trying to pay for treatment of his son's disease.
Does anyone have other examples?
Oh I got one! That illegal alien that murdered the woman in the park near my house was just trying to make a better life for himself and his family here in the United States.
Did I do it right?
Okay so you mean the Clintons lied, stole, extorted, defrauded their own "charity", solicited bribes from foreign countries and businesses, and committed treason just to get enough money to pay for Chelsea's braces?
Damn I've misjudged them.
@silvermyth I wish I were. http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2012/02/cerda-anima_found_guilty_of_mu.html
I understand that not everyone is touched by the bad shit that happens but once you are, you no longer look the other way. It's the reason celebrities that get sick suddenly start screaming to find a cure. Until you are the one being fucked, most people will say "who cares" or "it's rare and you blow it out of proportion". I have zero dogs in the gay right movement. I give zero shits about it but I'm not telling them they shouldn't correct the issue they are facing.
Everyone is on the "right side" of every issue because someone said they were and people reinforce their beliefs. This is how Liberty and Freedom works. Everyone gets to be an asshole.
If we are going to say "not all republicans" then we can also say "not all democrats".
I can't click your link because I'm using Mattress Firm wifi and they apparently don't like abc.
The killer had been convicted of felonies 5 times. Deported back to Mexico 4 or 5 times. Was on probation in Texas and had entered the country illegally.
That sounds terrible. Those are the types of people we need to keep out. We shouldn't keep out innocent people just because this guy is a killer. There are already lots of killers in America.
Right winger: "we're anti-SJW!!!!"
Also right winger: *posts stuff about "boo hoo don't bully me"*
I totally agree with not bullying someone based on their political view but I just find it funny that if it was about the left, there would be right wingers calling the OP a pussy SJW.
Yeah, just too lazy to log in sometimes. How does that correlate with anything at all?
Also the fact that people went on a downvote spree kinda proves my point. I never said all right wingers, just this specific one who made the post.
These people still lack empathy and the intellect to understand that the actions of one are not the actions of all. Furthermore, there's no way to justify taking the human rights away from an entire group of people, regardless of motive.
So you're saying that those people should'nt be judged because of their questionable ethics but imply that people with contrary beliefs who express their opinion are bad. That's paradox.

Think whatever the fuck you want.
Don't take away the rights, or abilities or freedoms of another person because of that
