maybe people don't care to binge on uselessly overpriced shit? If it works, find something cheaper that works. If you can't, buy it. If you can, find something cheaper again.
When I worked a Mervyn's department store in San Mateo, California; which has since closed it doors about 10 years ago- a lady came in from Hillsborough to do her shopping. Hillsborough is a very rich part of San Mateo so I was surprised but it's nice to know that some people keep it real. Oh, and Tom Seleck once purchased his jeans at that same store.
