@timebender25 cool. I will say I made a mistake in my analysis. If in fact the dog did pass away, it would have been the 7th frame as the door clicks. The black bar separates the comic, symbolizing the darkness that accompanies death. The next frame changes in tone and lighting contrast being symbolic of heaven.
But I don't believe any of that shit. I think it was a comic designed to fool the reader into understanding how a dog sees that there is no greater meaning to life than the love he shares with his owner. And time, something we place so much value on, looses all value and meaning when your loved one isn't there for it to be shared.
And what, leave him in the car? Because if they went to the grocery store dogs aren't allowed inside, unless they are a service animal. It is against health codes.

OMG I thought this was gonna be another real sad post but the ending saves it and me!
