I believe it. My 6 yr old was telling me about "some scientists think black holes act like balloon knots and when things get sucked in they're spit out into another universe. So that means we might live in a multiverse!" He said he saw it on tv. And I sat there like Wtf did you just say??
My kid came home from school one day when she was 8 talking all about how we have seen more about outer space and know so much about stars and planets and moons but we still don't know what lives in the bottom of the ocean. i asked how she knew that she whips out her backpack this huge book (not a kids book mind you this thing barly even had a picture every few pages) she said her teacher had it in class and she asked if she can borrow it. She read that book and learned shit I didn't know. She would come to a word she dont know and would ask me to look it up. The teacher gave her the book when she left 2nd grade
It is scary to think I am smarter than my parents and my kid will be smarter than me and it just goes like that forever. Each generation gets smarter and smarter just a little bit each time. I mean think about it comparing us to someone from the 1600s we are Einsteins lol
I am definitely more intelligent than my mother. My father still teaches me new shit on the rare occasions that I see him. I try to teach my son as much as possible even if it seems too advanced. Kids are sponges and as long as you can word it in a way they understand they will catch on. I don't know about humans getting smarter lol there have been theories and studies that point to humans declining in intelligence
