Yes, you can drink heavy water. Though it's not recommended to drink large amounts and can cause problems if enough is drunk to replace 25% to 50% of a human body's water.

Due to its density would it be able to hydrate you in smaller amounts than regular water? Example: will a quarter full glass of heavy water hydrate you the same as a full glass of regular water?
