@BarneyStinson The Crusades happened 922 years ago and was before the reformation of Christianity in the 16th century, so simply saying "The Crusades" isn't an argument. @dimebag There's 109 passages that graphically state that non-believers should be killed or harmed in some way, but tell me more about how Islam is a religion of peace. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/violence.aspx
Also, if so many Muslims are opposed to these radicals, why don't you see prominent Muslim leaders publicly decrying what is happening? Why don't they report as soon as they have even an inkling that one of their flock is radicalized and might attempt something? You only ever see excuses. Oh, and Muslims are the most populous anti-semites in the world, by the by, and Sharia is the most oppressive law system in the world, and yet "feminists" support Islam, while calling Trump a NAZI. Trump. The guy who wants to fully support Israel.
I love the fact that people so happily forget that America and Israel admitted to creating ISIS. People love to forget that the vast majority of ISIS attacks are carried out on Muslims. The people fighting ISIS the most are the Muslims from the countries ISIS occupies. If you want to call ALL Muslims radicals just remember that Muslims are fighting the radicals more than anyone else. If you still choose to call them terrorists despite the facts then I can't help you
Also there's many things wrong with Muhammud that hardly anyone knows about. Like the fact that he was a pedophile. Look up Ansaar volume 5, book 58, numbers 234-236 if you don't believe me.
Yap, thats a pretty fucked up thing... and maybe that is the reason why there are so many muslim Imams known to be molesting muslim children, like in all the muslim countries the muslim church is apologizing for their muslim imams who torture and fuck little boys in muslim schools and churches. Imagine this happening with christian priests and christian children in christian countries. You can't of course, cause this cannot happen, right?
Same, actually. I was pissed off and looking for a fight when I wrote it, but I stand by what I said. At least we can be civilized about it. Care to share why you believe it should remain such an integral part of society?
"I prefer the risk of discord over the implications of peace" - Just like this dead man on a stick you love so much said: "Whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, fuck him up good"
@guest: I'm not Christian.
@the_average_Gatsby: We may advance more if humanity were of a single mind, but I've noticed that we get the technological advancement from conflict, and that the only times humanity has had anything resembling peace is when dissenting cultures and ideologies are silenced or bleeding.
Very true, and it's very possible that even without ideological differences we'd still find reasons to fight, but I still can't help but wonder if it's all really worth all the extra trouble. I mean it's not like established religions have been especially peaceful, aside from things like Buddhism and Jainism (Just to be clear I'm not condoning the forcible removal of religion, but the idea of voluntarily moving away from religion)
If you think ISIS and the KKK are even in the same league, you're a fucking imbecile. The KKK can't even make the local news these days and entire countries are preparing strategies to deal with ISIS. Put your clever little sign away and take a look at what's going on in the world.
Thats because the KKK folks always were lazy whiners who would not dare attacking anyone who's is not weaker and smaller in numbers. Isis member don't know any fear, they believe in their goal and their religion and don't care if they die or live. True heroes, not masked up cowards.
ISIS has at least tens of thousands of people. Probably more. And that's before you count "civilians" that are complacent to their actions.
What does the KKK have? A couple hundred? A few thousand? And when was the last time they killed people en mass?
To my calculations
There are about 1.6 billion muslims in the world, and the U.S. government estimates that ISIS has 31,500 members. This is the ration 1.96875E-5
There are about 2.18 billion christians in the world. An estimated 300,00 thousand white supremacists exist (counts done on online communities). This is the ratio. 1.376146789E-4
I thought I might share some statistics.
Did I say ISIS was the majority in Islam? No. I said Radical Muslims were the majority in Islam. And Silvermyth, your statistics are incredibly misleading. If you're going to include all white supremacists, you.must include all radicalized Muslims, but if you want to just include ISIS, you should only include the KKK, and not all white supremacists.
Also, using posts on online communities is stupid. People make racist comments on forums ironically all the time, does that make them white supremacists?
"We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed. Their habitation is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrong-doers." Quran. sura 3:151
"O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)." Quran. sura 9:123.
"And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do." Quran. sura 8:39.
For those who think carne_asada is wrong.
It was supposed to be the christian white supremacists, I should have clarified. The problem with these things are that when counting who is oriented in any way, one can never be sure. When taking census, they do not ask "Are you an islamic extremist?" or "Are you a christian white supremacist?"
Online communites tend to be bring them out more, because it is harder to be recognized and ridiculed. And besides, most white supremacists don't go out and kill people. They are just not equal things to compare.
It must be hard to be that stupid. The KKK profess to be Christian, true, but are denounced by practically all Christian leaders and spread nothing related to Christianity. Conversely, ISIS is embraced by many Muslim religious leaders (especially in the Middle East) and spread the teachings of Islam (like Sharia Law), not something else under the guise of religion.
TL:DR - Both say they represent their respective religion but only ISIS actually follows it
Think of it like this kiddo. You have a bowl of Skittles, but a few are rotten and will kill you, but they look like every other Skittle. So you take a handful and take the huge risk of killing you or others, or you don't take from the bowl and protect who you love and others around you
And no the majority do not support ISIS or Sharia (at least implementation)
It actually is working well for Europe, aside from the Paris attacks. France has increased security since then so all is well.
Living in a cabin in the woods and hoping like heck the nuclear fallout takes me quickly. It is too late. The only thing to "help" not is a totalitarian stranglehold on the populace by government(s). Travel will be restricted. Spending will be monitored. Individusl liberty will be a distant memory. Dissidents will be rounded up and incarcerated or executed. Basically we didn't act swiftly and decisively enough to stop this 20-25 years ago and our offspring will all suffer for it.
Increased security will eventually lead to totalitarian control. Soldiers in full battle gear walking city streets that are not active combat zones are not good things.
I have a bit of a defeatist attitude in this topic, there is no solution that will placate everybody. I refuse to accept these attacks as "the new norm" or the "price of living in a big city". Unfortunately Putin's threat seems to be the only thing working right now.
I'll apologize for my tone, but the sentiment remains the same.

No, just straight up intolerant assholes, who are stupid enough to kill themselves just to harm innocent people?
