As it doesn't show a holder device and/or a wall, I somewhat doubt this is correct.

I'm not arguing which way is right or wrong because I don't care but There's another pic of the designers drawings. One of them shows a holder. https://consumerist.com/2015/03/17/original-patent-for-perforated-toilet-paper-solves-over-vs-under-debate-once-and-for-all/
