Yea but the actual story is he was jelouse of God's love for Adam and Eve. He talked a legion of angels to try to overthrow God. It didnt turn out well.
"The actual story." You realize we're talking about ancient mythology, and even if we're taking this from The Bible, that specific part of the myth is not mentioned in the Scriptures as approved by the council of Nicaea, from which almost all modern Bibles take their cue?
Neither of those verses describe anything about jealousy towards humanity. The first one just describes Satan desiring to set himself above God, and the second one is just talking about a city being destroyed because of trade and pride. Even the bit in the second passage that gets into talking about being "in Eden" just says that "iniquity was found" in the cherub in question.
**avoids debate on the Bible** The last one went to the chat and I dont have the energy to debate on something that has been argued over for thousands of years and we as a species have made no progess in said debate
Ever Christianity lesson I sat through specifically stated that he was far beyond saving.
Irreversibly damaged, a metaphor for the system of modern Christianity itself.

I thought he was sent to hell because he stood up to god cuz thought god was treating humans cruelly
@blackbanana God sent him to hell because ole' Luci decided that he wanted to overthrow God. Humans weren't even around at this point, Satan just decided "I WANT TO BE GOD I WILL UNDERMINE GOD" and then tried to take over.

I see, I'm not all that religious so I guess I'll to take your word for it
I don't believe in satan as a concrete thing, I believe his is the personification of our evil side He is the side that we don't want to accept. We choose to belief our "not so good side" as an external source because it is easier.
Isn't Satan supposed to be a fallen angel? As in, already up there with God and all the other angels? Pretty sure he's beyond prayer if he royally fucked up that bad.
Satanist believe in Satan as an abstract personification of carnal desire. He allows you to be 100% yourself. Worship you before you worship another. Satan being a bad guy? It's all in how you perceive him.
The difference between him and humans is that he already rejected God. Humans on the other hand inherited their sinful nature and have a choice to make on earth to either reject God or ask for forgiveness.
Satan was sent to suffer a long time ago. There's nothing anyone can do for him
Also here are some of the books left out of the Bible and why. My two favorites are The Book of Mary Magdaline" and "The Book of Enoch". Enoch is a really good read.

I was a little bleeding heart before humanity took my soul.
