Yeah I have one of those too. I've been with the same woman for fifteen years, she's still not aware that I actually love her

I tend to think that of my friends too. I feel like I am just tolerated rather than wanted. The kicker is that the rational side of me knows it's not true but I can't help those feelings getting through. I'm so tired of being me.

It is,but the post is implying that the person is scared that their partner is only saying "I love you" to be nice,even though he doesn't genuinely mean it.

They wouldn't bother being nice to someone if they weren't special, though.
