I've actually been hit on the head with a spade and have a permanent scar from it. I get slightly paranoid when people wield spades around me

Same but with balls. I once got hit in the face with a baseball and lost a tooth.

I got clocked in the face with a baseball once, and it made me get a nosebleed. My parents wanted me to stop being afraid of the ball, so they had me stand out in the yard and would roll balls towards me and have me catch it. Suffice to say, a grounder popped up and hit me in the face, and gave me another nosebleed.

....during cheer practice whilst back spotting a toss that went horribly wrong I was hit in the face with a person. I got annoyed that we couldn't move on to our next tosses ands couldn't do sidelines because I kept bleeding... I still performed as a back spot in nationals the following day
