This truly baffles me

I hide both XD

Because it's less awkward to tell someone that you hate them
There's less things that could go wrong

Because hate can give the feeling of guarding oneself, while love can make one feel vulnerable. And that scares people.

Expressing love leaves you more vulnerable

Hatred is more easily expressed than love.

Cause hatred rarely gives the person expectations (how many people do you know that want to get hit with a chair huh?)
When with love, you are supposed to do that, do this bladblad
And expectations ---> disappointments

Because it's humiliating to express affection without it being returned. Because hate is a sword and a shield. Hate gives purpose whereas love merely motivates. Motivation without purpose is useless. Unrequited love is painful whereas unrequited hate only helps you.

Why is it easier to laugh in public than cry?

bc showing love makes them vulnerable. And also you can easily say you hate someone but loving someone means a lot more bc you want the other person to feel the same. When you hate someone you don´t care if he hates you too.
