Don't take downvotes to heart on this site. Some users go through post downvoting every comment just too be an ass. I for one upvote honest opinions and true facts.
I actually enjoy posts like this... because in 4 years the Democratic party will still be blaming the Russians and others for losing the election and not have any clue that calling us racists, "deplorables", and all the other labels is what really cost you the White house again... :D
Let me ask you this since you are a proud trum supported I guess. What do you think about eliminating environmental regulations? (Not only climate change related but also drilling and clean water) I do know trump supporters but can't have a decent conversarion with them. If I ask a honest question loke this I just get made fun at calling me a liberal (which I'm not) and they repeat to me "CLinton lies". So, just honestly asking.
To my understanding, Trump isn't giving his blessing to pollute water and destroy the environment, he's just getting rid of federal restrictions that harms competition and scares off businesses.
.
Key word being "federal". Similar to trans legislations, Trump is just relegating the decisions to individual states.
Ok. But you do realize that that eliminates restrictiins on pollution and if this kind of regulations scare companies maybe you don't nees that company polluting in your town. My point is in this era there are mant other ways of creating jobs and doing things without the high possibility of polliton to the max degree. I mean are you telling me that you believe the majority of companies would try not to pollute without mandated fegulations?
If creating jobs without giving something up was possible, nobody would be unemployed.
.
As for the companies: I believe that companies have learned enough in the last 130 years to know that sustainability is essential to profit margins.
They will be reasonable because the American people will not tolerate becoming a reflection of China, and it's simply good business sense to not kill off your clients and employees.
First statement: that is a lot to give up
Second: we would lime to think that but peoole concerned about sustainability are not the majority.
That's the way you think I guess and I asked for it so thank you.
Depends on individual sensibilities. I'd rather see science advance far enough that humanity won't need earth anymore.
.
It's not about trusting corporations to preserve the future, it's about trusting them to keep high profits and good publicity.
.
Lastly, I'm glad this exchange remained civil throughout.
Yes. How it should be. It does bother me though overall, you talk about profits and publicity. I rhink in yerms of what is the point of profit when we are all getting sicker and we are not taking care of our home. Even if humans end up un another planet, while it happens people left here will suffer our consequences (maybe not us yet but it is sad nobody cares about their kids or grandkids)
I'm thinking my grandkids and great-grandkids will biologically and/or technologically enhanced enough that sickness won't be much of a concern.
But that might be a conversation for another time.
Yeah it will be longer. Working in the healthcare field. Let me tell you it is scary, and many of us are convinced all this poison in food and environment is not helping. Not only that, the world they will be living would have less resources
Don't own a truck nor a beard, because I'm a woman. But still voted Trump, and sweetheart, he won. So get over it. He just wants to send back the illegals back. And honestly, they're ILlegals. They've already committed a crime. And I dont think we should risk our nation and people with harm from bringing in refugees that could possibly be killing machines. I mean, look where it got France and England. Liberals. So silly.
^agreed. And agree on the fear of possible harm, but "illegals" have not done mass killings in US so I understand avoiding it but we also need working on the American grown psychos too
I'm not sure if that's clever or retarded.
