I've always wanted to eat insects to see what they are like. I recently had the pleasure of eating crickets. They were somewhat pleasant

Spider crab (crab spider?), praying mantids, grasshoppers, crickets; either all vegetarian or all totally otherwise harmless

Not a spider crab, it was something in the lines of tailless scorpion, fake scorpion..

They may not be venomous, but I know from experience that a bite from a mantis hurts something fierce.
