True, but the things people do all day also provide things like food, water, shelter, clothing, and basic needs items. And lets be honest those things are alot more important and more attainable than looking at the stars and wondering our place in it and what's out there. I get the sentiment and it's a good one but taking care of the problems close to home should always come first. The trick is being able to do so without create new problems for no other reason than "this is what I do so you need to do it this way too".

I have anger issues but whenever I remind myself how incomprehensibly insignificant me and my problems are my anger goes away. It's easy to lose perspective when you're caught up in the moment.
