And I'm just gonna add this too, this is literally quoting the trump administration, giving legit examples, listing signs of fascism that are even listed in the holocaust museum, and showing how what we think can be wrong even though it seemed normal to us. You all need to open your eyes and realize what is going on and get your head of the clouds of "make America great again"
Powerful and continuing nationalism: I've been proud of my country for my whole life. Guess I'm on my way to being a fascist too.
Disdain for human rights: what rights has he taken away again?
Identification of enemies as a unifying cause: America united against the Axis Powers. Was WWII America fascist?
Rampant sexism: One point for you
Controlled mass media: which is why literally no one is afraid to attack him on every single media platform?
Obsession with national security: where exactly does American safety rank on what government should be doing? I rank it 1.
Religion and government intertwined: religious freedom can not be separated from politics so long as we have religious freedom
Corporate power protected: Different views
Labor power suppressed: how?
Disdain for intellectual and the arts: I would call them "intellectuals," and "arts."
Obsession with crime and punishment: conversely, "law and order."
Rampant cronyism and corruption: i do believe that's just called government

Now I get to make the same request guest made previously: "say why you would downvote me"
I look forward to your responses.
He took away trans rights and is in the process of removing gay rights. Lgbt people won't be included in the next census which means their rights can be taken off the agenda since there's no evidence for a substantially large number living in America.
He's not taking away rights, he's relegating it to be a state issue.

He has made no move to change gay marriage or workplace protections for them, unless I just so happened to miss the entire gay communities outrage.
What trans rights? It seems that he's always threatening "rights," not anything specific.
Trump says bad things. He's rude, but that doesn't matter. The media is biased against the political right, illegal immigration is hurting Americans (born and naturalized alike), we've been fighting wars seemingly intending to lose, and other nations have been taking advantage of the complacency of past administrations.
.
Trump isn't trying to subvert checks and balances, he isn't cutting deals with terror states, and he isn't persecuting groups of citizens just for disagreeing with him.
.
Comparing him to fascists is an affront to every man, woman, and child to have suffered because of real fascists.
"The media is biased against the political right"...maybe if you were informed and educated instead of selfish people will like the right...its really hard to "like" the right when you disregard everyone else and pretend the country is yours and yours only (politics doesnt work that way).
Also given the fact that the right doesn't go in accord with modernity (including science and other issues) doesn't make it adaptable...the problem with the right is The lack of adaptability (which is unfortunate since times change).
The media isn't biased, when we are informed of the multiple accounts regarding failures, broken promises and lies that resort from emotional baiting on the part of the Trump administration it's not a lie...weather you want to take it as PROPAGANDA or fake news that's on you...if you say something is false with the given exposure to information, then the problem is denial
I'll give it a shot, but I might be way off the mark

"informed and educated instead of selfish people will like the right"
Why is it selfish to ask people to pay for their own lives, and not selfish to demand people help you?
"when you disregard everyone else and pretend the country is yours and yours only"
Mostly, people on the right support state and local rights more and believe they should have more say in how their communities function. I see trying to change issues that I believe should be left to the states by granting the federal government more power as a way to force people to follow policies you like to be more a "yours and yours only," type of government
"the right doesn't go in accord with modernity (including science and other issues) doesn't make it adaptable...the problem with the right is The lack of adaptability"
Change is inevitable, but change isn't necessarily good. Tending towards a "if it ain't broke don't fix it till it is," mentality. It is a more cautious approach to change, rather than a headlong rush (1)

I do believe the right could stand to be a little more science based in certain areas, just I as believe so for the left. Republicans tend to favor certain areas like NASA space exploration (Bush wanted to go back to the moon and have a "space program," like the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions that had a long term goal, while under Obama it was more limited to one off missions which did not build upon each other) and democrats tend to favor other areas.
"The media isn't biased"
the majority of Americans believe otherwise. http://www.gallup.com/poll/207794/six-partisan-bias-news-media.aspx. And the majority of them say it favors the left. (2)

Isn't fascism the belief that govt should have an excessive amount of control over their nation and her people?
Yeah, and all the traits listed are not unique to fascism, but are seen in most societies, even in democracies.
That being said, i highly doubt we will ever look back at this time in our history with fondness.
Because everyone who doesn't believe in paying for everyone's stuff by confiscating money from those who produce goods and services and are paid to do so, is a Nazi Fascist homophobe sexist racist. And as that, they aren't deserving of any respect in a debate or discussion, and it's totally justified to vandalize their property or chuck bottles at them when we're " protesting."
The thing is, trump could never be a dictator. The last thing the right wants is more government. They want each community and each state to have as many choices as possible. His administration can never make these crazy fears come true. He's overly capitalist, if anything. But fascist? As in Totalitarian? Please, read a dictionary.
This site has become something of a cesspool when it comes to politics. So much hate flying around. God forbid civil discussions become a little less rare, here.
Instead of leaving, I prefer just staying out of it, for the most part. It's not like 3 million more changed minds would have changed the outcome of the election, anyway. ;)
I mean, that SOUNDS logical, at first.

I get what you're saying, though. They seriously missed out on the Golden Days of FS, Periodsubstance, MLP:FIM, etc.
You're blind if you don't see any resemblance
