The film itself was not made by Disney in any possible way. They paid Disney and Warner Bros. For permission to use famous characters such as Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. However the film was so successful that Disney bought the rights. They also liked the idea of Toontown and they wanted to build it in Disneyland so they needed the rights to the name and idea of Toontown. As it happens Jessica Rabbit used to appear at the park alongside her husband Roger but parents complained it wasn't family friendly (assholes). But the movie itself (amazing film) wasn't made by Disney
Ah, but that is where you are wrong. It was 'Buena Vista Pictures Distribution' that released the film, which is owned by Disney. They've changed their name to 'Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' since the film's release. I'm not sure if Judge Doom is an original creation for the movie (making him a Disney "villain" in the loosest term possible) or if he was in the original novel.
are there any good book to movie adaptations that DON'T totally spit on the book? apart from the biggies like LotR, HP, & HG. *cough cough* Percy Jackson. also I didn't know it was made by Buena Vista. I stand corrected
O.o ummmm augh there is o anne of green gables the 1985 one but ot was a tv movie so dont really count. O there is any of the Stephen king books they are really close. There is also the virgin suicides, secret garden, anything Jane Austen and clock work orange. ink heart was close so was stardust.
