They probably got carried away while talking about their maths problems, and went off on a tangent.

Someone in line was making small talk with another customer (we'll call him Eric) and started asking questions about the Pythagoras therom but because Eric hadn't used it ANYWHERE in real life, he'd forgotten it and couldn't answer the question. He then went into a panic attack, fainted and caused a huge scene at this shop. The shop owners aren't having it again.

Probably because someone talking about the numbers in an equation goofed up a cashier badly while counting out change.

If there are numbers it's not real maths. The only numbers I use are 0, 1 and 2. Oh, and a few infinities on top. #NoTrueScotsman #CategoryTheory

I love mathematics and don't know anyone with whom I can talk about it. Maybe I should go there to meet fellow nerds.
