Except it isn't a discount. The robes you buy from the shop are new. The one in the room is used and rewashed after use. You're paying $75 for a used bathrobe worn by strangers. I personally wouldn't pay that much for a used robe.

Quite right guest. But it is a clever way to cycle their inventory, by using people not quite as astute as you.

If I'm going to pay $75, let alone $125, that robe better rub my feet, give spinal adjustments and be temperature controlled
