Why is there a kid at a gay pride parade? I mean, homosexuality isn't something they need to be shielded from but some of the outfits and getups people wear are entirely inappropriate for children imo Or does what people wear kind of depend on the city it's held in?
I don't see why klimax was downvoted, he was asking a question. Yes, depending on the city and time of day pride parades can get inappropriate for children. I've attended countless parades so I can say from experience that the later it gets the more graphic peoples outfits and behavior becomes. If you're going to bring a child do it early on. Novelus is also correct that not every parade is like this. Smaller cities and events tend to have less partial to full blown nudity. I always see kids at pride parades and they have tremendous amounts of fun, although judging from the occasional bulging eyes I think they sometimes see more than they wanted. Klimax, I'm curious which cities the parades you went to were held in that makes you thnik kids should not attend.
I went to a couple in SF and one in Sacramento..Big cities haha I just remember thinking "if I had a kid I wouldn't want them seeing half these outfits." Now that I have a kid I feel the same way. I didn't even think about the time of day thing though..that makes sense. That's really cool that some of them have family areas. I didn't notice if the ones I went to had those. The kids I saw were indeed having a blast.
