Yeah, that's fine. Honestly, fuck her for feeling that way. But, if you ( actually) feel that way too y'all are meant for each other. Not picking on you, just throwing that out there for readers because thoughts and comments like that are never acceptable in a healthy relationship.
Look, context is important here. Women are often held to a different standard than men. Women are always trying to lose weight BECAUSE they feel it is necessary to fit in in society.
Men, on the other hand, gain muscle because they enjoy it, although skinny men are almost never told to put on muscle conpared to the standard women are held to
I see where you're both coming from, I do. But both parties here are assholes. Neither thought/ comment are acceptable in a relationship and they are equally disgusting and vulgar.
However, I have to add, if the OP just said the weight comment to the wife to be an asshole right back at her and disrespect her the way she disrespected him, then I really have nothing against him for doing so, because, seriously, fuck her.
Have you looked at male action figures? Have you taken a look at the current crop of famous men that have women's hearts all a flutter?
Did you see the coment section for that 7 1/2 foot ripped guy right here on FS?
There's just as much societal pressure on men. You just don't hear about it as much because some don't give a fuck and because of the other societal pressure that we're not supposed to have feelings. We're supposed to bottle that shit up and keep it to ourselves.
Look, I agree that both parties are equally assholes in this situation, but it would be really helpful to know how fat the woman really is and how skinny the guy really is to see who's being more of an asshole.
I still disagree about societal expectations, but I really don't feel like debating in the comment section, so if you want to go to the debate chat, I'd be happy
But what does being skinny have anything to do with societal pressure? It's just taking care of yourself. Like if your parents forced you to eat vegies you don't call it pressure to conform.
No but what they do with models in magazines is they actually stretch them out vertically to make them more skinny. It's beyond what is healthy and normal what magazines do with models
Nah man, I think that it sounds like we mostly agree, except the nuances of certain points. I suspect those are more likely to be rooted in our own subjective personal experiences... which are very real for each of us, but not necessarily representative of the whole.
No no no no no, I HAVE to interject here.
It DOES NOT MATTER wether the woman is skinny or over weight, it DOES NOT MATTER if the man is thin or ripped.
Under NO circumstances is this kind behavior EVER appropriate in a relationship.
I do not care what society, reality, friends, parents, even what YOU have to say or think about it. Demeaning your partner ALWAYS makes you a worthless piece of shit.
Hazgar, dude, you gotta brush up on human anatomy and health.
"Skinniness" is in no way equivalent to good health. In fact often times it's as much of an indication of bad health as being over weight can* mean.
Some people find it impossible to gain or lose weight. Some people find it impossible to gain muscle mass and bulk up.
What would be even more fucked up is if both of the people in this post were part of those body types. Although, the woman still deserved it ( actually would deserve it more so) for being the one who opened the dialogue.
Lol, I would love to know what kind of abusive bitch or asshole thumbed down my response.
Have fun being in a shitty relationship the rest of your life. We're all ugly as fuck when we're old, better to accept that now rather than later and treat your partner with respect and decency, because that's all that lasts, period.
