I think a good rule of thumb is not to use Hitler as a moral barometer. Even though he loved dogs and implemented an anti-smoking campaign, you shouldn't base your love of dogs or hatred of smoking on what Hitler thought.
"moral compass" is a common phrase. "moral barometer" makes no sense as a metaphor and is something ive only ever heard him say, and a lot of people made fun of him for it. lol
I mean the only reason Hitler was evil is because the nazis lost the war. I mean literally it is easy for us to say someone with a different moral system that lost the war and way of life was wiped out is evil. If they won the war it would have been the same way for them and our president FDR and winston church hill. You have to admit he revived a nation and its people he took a wrong turn but a lot of things happened.
Yeah? Are you sure it wasn't that whole Holocaust thing? The historical revisionism when it comes to Hitler, and Nazis as a whole, is startling. They cut a bloody swath across Europe, Africa, and Middle East, but sure, it's just because he lost and a had a different "moral system" that he's widely seen as an evil person.
Dude trashman learn some history. Hitler was probably the most evil guy who ever lived. Six million Jews were killed on his orders. He did not "revive a nation" either, Germany was in ruins in 1945.
I mean you think about it and there are far more evil people in the world. Stalin was terrible killed more jews and more people then Hitler in his gulag system. Mao Zha Dong killed 50 million people and took over a bunch of countries too. In fact any dictator could be likened unto hitler because every dictator controls his people and murders his people. Hitler is the worst for us because he could actually put up a fight for years. Saddam Hussein murdered millions of his people with chemical weapons but we wiped him and his army out in less than a month with little to no casualties. I am by no means defending hitler but I do think Hitler is not alone in his morals and i do not think it is outrageous to assume that he could teach others his morals or have his morals accepted by others. I also do not think hitler was in great mental condition and i actually think he had problems with his brain but i guess we will never know since he blew his brain out himself.
I know that but what im trying to say is if a couple of generations are indoctrinated with these new morals they begin to think they are no longer evil.
The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it. -Terry Pratchett, Monstrous Regiment
Guess what, you shouldn't cheat on your wife. The fact mlk did that doesnt negate all the good he did. It was still wrong, however. You're either misunderstanding or intentionally misapplying this concept. Hopefully its not to justify being a shitty person but i make no accustaions
Ok, seriously, I think I knew this dude. I was going through a rough spot with substance abuse (kick-ass pun), in 2013. I was in a homeless shelter in Beckley W.Va. and a group of us got kicked out for being drunk. This guy, his name was Wesley, and I were taken in by a charity (read-cult) in Columbus OH. He ran away the first week. Im cool now, and even though we were only tight for a minute, I always wondered what happened to him. Where did this picture come from?
But the guy in the pic has such beautiful nose
...
Oh gosh
Maybe i do have a thing for nose
