No such thing as a woman with a penis that's a man. You can be a man pretending to be a woman or a woman pretending to be a man but you're just pretending. Hell you can eat grass and whinny but guess what IM not going to call you a horse moron. This stuff isn't that hard if you don't listen to idiots.
ya its called mental illness but we're not suppose to talk about that. And ya there is science involved turns out no matter how pretty the dress or how much makeup you put on it doesn't change your chromosomes hell you can even cut off your penis and the chromosomes are still the same you're still a guy and its not more complicated than that. Now on a mental illness level its more complicated but again we can't call it mental illness could hurt some ones feelings so no study no treatment if there is one.

Yeah!
They have a dick.
And can naturally produce testosterone.
I see no evidence that it is a mental illness though. It is often accompanied by mental illnesses, but dysphoria itself is just feeling that you were born in the wrong body
I didn't say that me not perceiving it as normal makes it a mental illness. I said that its not a normal thing to feel in response to your comment.
Also, how is it not a mental illness to you? Its caused in the brain meaning it is a mental illness. Yes trans people shouldn't be subject to weird tests or discrimination but that doesn't change the fact that gender dysphoria is a mental illness.
Not everyhing caused in the brain is mental illness. It still meets no definition of mental illness.
See, by your logic, food allergy is a disease because it is not a normal reaction to harmless food and is caused in the body
But food allergies are caused by the immune system. Also, I meant not normal as in 1% of the world deals with it compared to many many people dealing with food allergies.
And whats the definition of mental illness to you that it doesn't meet it?
And gender dysphoria doesn't do that? It definitely affects your behavior and thinking due to you having feelings of being in the wrong body. Mood would be the illnesses that come along with it like depression and anxiety. Plus, it is a medical issue as it does require treatment and its not a physical ailment, what else would it classify as?
If you're a man and fall in love with a woman that's not a mental illness if you fall in love with a sheep yes that's a mental illness. See one brain is functioning properly the other isn't.
No but see, once they transition, they no longer have any abnormal thoughts, behavior, or mood.
Even pre-transition, the only thoughts that would be affected is the thought of feeling in thr wrong body
There's many people who actually do still have dysphoric feelings after transition due to it being not the right method, or even feeling false in their body because they can't fully do what they want ( meaning mainly reproductive functions), as well as still having body issues. Quite a few people actually detransition because of this even though they still have dysphoria either way.
So the dysphoria is just a feeling of something being "off." Its not actually depression or anxiety in any way. The distress and anxiety come from social rejection
" the dysphoria is just a feeling of something being off " ummm no? If it was just that then people wouldn't feel the need to transition or complain about it. And I never said the dysphoria itself is depression and anxiety, just that they usually come hand in hand. Also, the depression and anxiety isn't just because of social rejection. There are plenty of people with supportive families and friends who still have depression and anxiety because of their dysphoria.
And just because the depression and anxiety arent th dysphoria itself doesn't mean its not a mental illness.
Ok all of this is coming off of what a trans friend told me. He (formerly she) had a feeling of something being "off" with no mental health issues all through hs, then became depressed at 18. That proves they are two separate things
Did you not read what I wrote? I said they're not the same thing they just usually come hand in hand. Not always. Usually. Also this is what one person told you, I'm close friends with some people who are trans and have read up more on it because of that. So one persons account who had a relatively easy experience doesn't negate the majority or that its not a mental illness.
Are you reading what I'm typing at all? The dysphoria DOES cause them to act/behave/think differently. Feeling Like you were born in the wrong body isn't just an " off " feeling. Its something that nags and nags at you and can drive you crazy.
And you've given me non besides what you claim a friend of yours went through saying that its doesn't cause them to act differently. You made the claim that it shouldn't be classified as a mental illness first so youre the one who's needing to back up your claim first besides a faulty study and hearsay.
give it up diyrogue she doesn't get it and will never get it. you will not change whats in her imagination with facts or logic. this is the kind of person that thinks the lion won't eat her because she isn't trying to eat the lion and her new age vegan friend told her that's how it works there is nothing you can say to keep her from getting eaten.
Even if it were a mentall illness, it shouldnt mean they are subject to any less rights. Also, you simply dismissed my study as faulty for no reason
(Btw the burden of proof lies on the person making he positive claim, you)
The last thing I'm going to comment before giving up on trying to talk to you is this:
" Yes trans people shouldn't be subject to weird tests or discrimination " I commented this earlier so obviously I never said they should have any less rights. I agree they shouldn't be subject to discrimination or have rights taken away due to the fact that they're trans. That doesn't change with dysphoria being a mental illness. People with depression and anxiety have rights as long as they arent a harm to themselves or others. So I have no idea where your comment came from unless you were trying to put word word my mouth.
And as I said before, your study is very small. It's a single study with a VERY small number of people in one city of the world. Thats nothing compared to the countless other studies done that say otherwise and disprove your point.
Holy SHIT you commenters are disgusting. I'm not the best person to say this but I have a trans BROTHER. He was a girl when he was born and has always felt like he was born in the wrong body and should have been a boy, instead. So he's been transitioning. This involves using binders, which are pieces of fabric you wrap around the torso to give a more manly shape. It makes him out of breath. A lot. And yet some of you believe people like him are just 'pretending'. Jesus fucking christ, he wants to be a guy. And he's becoming one. And if you'd look at him, you'd think that he was. Same if you heard him. But suddenly, you guys need to pull his pants down and then, suddenly, all those years of transitioning are for nothing? Fuck you all for being so, so disgusting. Thank you, @diyrogue.
TL;DR - Trans women are women and trans men are men. Simple as.
Sorry to burst your weird little bubble, but your sister is a girl, and there's no amount of ''therapeutic transitioning surgery'' that's gonna change that.
I think guest was more getting at the people who still call transmen women or transmen men even if they pass well. You don't have to fuck them but its rude to call someone out of what they are just because you don't want to fuck them or you think their genitals trumps their feelings.
I don't have to participate in their mental ailments, and I can say what I think about it whether it's rude or not. Trans people need help, bottom line. To say "oh you're normal, and it's completely natural that you want to be something you're not" is only hurting them.
Well you have some one that's trans so your not really objective at all. But you said it yourself if you look at him he looks like a guy but if you pull pants down then he doesn't. Well then he doesn't look like a guy. Sorry but your sister is still your sister if she starts wearing a furrie suit it doesn't make her a wolf even if she looks just like a wolf but then people take off the suit and she isn't a wolf. Its like if we had the technology to put gills and scales on some one and they practiced swimming really hard they still wouldn't be a fish. But some one would be arguing that they feel like a fish from birth so its OK to give them gills and its not a mental illness. Its pretty simple you might have a mental illness that makes a woman think she is a man or a wolf or a fish but that doesn't make it so.The really sad part is there is such a stigma on mental illness even if there was a cure it will never be found.
Well I always said what people do in the privacy of their own home is their business now LGBT is on the news in movies on TV in politics and every place you look. Now were suppose to treat them different and suppose to make special bathroom accommodations and so on and so on its not in the privacy of there Owen home now its a problem I have to put up with. that's why I give a fuck.
And sadly, being trans and taking hormones doesn't mean you'll magically pass as a female
Except the only thing thicker than her thyroid is her skull.
They have a dick.
And can naturally produce testosterone.
Transition surgery.
That's how they cope.
