I have a shrink in the family. This shrink called the police because a patient wielding a kitchen knife was threatening suicide (again). The police arrived and tasered the patient causing a heart attack that several hours later resulted in the patient's death.

This is why, ladies and gentlemen, the first rule of Gun Safety is to ALWAYS treat the gun as if it is loaded.
Never point it at anything or anyone you don't intend to shoot. Even if you KNOW it's not loaded. Only turn the safety off and put your finger on the trigger if you plan to shoot. It's really not that complicated.
