You don't use a heavy blanket and you don't smother the baby with it. You use it like a tent, just to conceal.

There are babies that won't nurse unless it's dark too, so there are moms that have to use a cover so the kid will eat.
Having the cover on in public is also a way to signal from a distance that you're breastfeeding. People don't ask you to get up and help them move a piano if they can tell from 15 feet out that you're BUSY

Pooing is totally natural, in fact it's beautiful. I should be able to change my babies diaper anywhere I want. In line at the bank, at a restaurant table, anywhere.

I don't think anybody comparing the breast of a nursing woman to feces will ever have children.
Who puts a wall bench in the middle of the hallway like that?
