Take a closer look at this fin swimming your way

Sounds like something a basking shark would say

I'm sure they don't "eat" you but when you're in there it seems pretty hard to get out

I think they'd probably avoid you if you were in the water with them. They are monumentally large, but not so large that they wouldn't notice you.

They are filter feeders, just like Blue Whales and Whale Sharks.
