They should leave pieces of colored tissue paper out. Then the Flying-Nope would make a colorful nest.

Why didn't you kill it?! Wasps and hornets aren't really active at evening/night. Get some hornet killer spray the fuck out of it, squash the bigger for good measure and the set fire to the nest. Once it's off the house or building or what have you of course

I prefer to wait until they are out of the nest after I've located it, then eat the larvae. They taste good yo.

You don't even need any special poison (mostly overpriced anyhow) to kill them, you can use wd40 or a similar spray lubricant, the oil stops them from flying and suffocates them in seconds.

You can also use strong hairspray, then step on them.
