Bro, that last one isn't correct. When you're in a stance in American football, you're priming yourself to fire up, and use your hands and chest. No self-respecting player would drive forward with their head, that's hurt like a b*tch and look dumb, too.

So, therefore, football is the more dangerous sport

If they are going to save American football, they gotta remove the face mask. That'll keep people from lowering their heads and suffering multiple concussions year after year leading to degenerative brain disorder.

American football is a violent sport that rewards huge, explosive hits. The stop/start nature of the sport means there are a lot of blasting hits and car crash collisions.

The sport of hockey is a violent sport without spandex or running out of bounds, (there's no escaping the boards); which involves legal collisions at way higher velocities than turfball and hockey doesn't have the same issues since players check with their shoulder or hip to body, hits to the head are illegal. Reform or perish.

Hockey is, by far, the most dangerous sport I know of

Hockey doesn't have tackles, so the players don't go hurtling toward the ground and their heads bounce off the turf on a regular basis. And I'm not arguing which sport is tougher or more violent; I played football as a kid but I have a hard time watching it anymore.

Wait, are you talking about ice hockey or regular hockey?

Wait, but how do you play hockey then?

Turf or field

With a tiny hard ball, on a field of grass, with a hockey stick that somewhat resembles an upside down walking cane

The fuck, that isn't hockey. Hockey is played on ice with a hard rubber/plastic disc that you can kill people with

Nope, that's ice hockey, not actual proper hockey

I prefer turf to field hockey because the ball moves better. I've never played ice hockey though, New Zealand doesn't have any ice hockey rinks.

I've never actually played hockey, it's like a really posh sport where I live

but ice hockey is real hockey... WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS
deleted

It is real ice hockey, which is a type of real hockey, however most of the world refera to field hockey as hockey and ice hockey as ice hockey. You guys probably don't really play standard bog basic hockey anymore, so ice hockey has become your standard hockey

a little adaptation is required: "American Football is a gentleman's game played by hooligans. On the other hand, Rugby is a hooligans game played by gentlemen."

Wasn't there a recent study linking American football to a condition called CTE?

The real difference between Rugby League/Union and American Football is that Rugby League/Union is actually Gaelic Football, apparently.
