It's illegal to download streams, but not to watch streams. Kodi is just a media center to put all of your videos in one place. Exodus (an extension you add-on into Kodi) just searches all streams and makes them easy and simple to find/use (also not illegal). You can download Kodi in the Windows store and then Google how to put the Exodus extension on.

don't be naive. ThePirateBay is just a hub for aggregating magnet links for copyrighted content. It's not like they are criminals, right? Yet their activity is illegal.

Guys, even if you think its legal, it's not. In Germany as an example, you are NOT ALLOWED to watch stuff from sources where you don't know for sure that it's a legal source. as soon as there is a chance that it's illegal content, you are not allowed to watch it. as an example.. kinox is in germany "illegal" because this is 100% a illegal source, and everyone should know this by the fact that this site have new movies for free who cost on other sources much money etc.. if you use streaming in germany & get caught, you're basicly fucked. just sayin. just because some police guy say it's fine, this don't means that the court say the same if you get caught. by the way.. yes "streaming" itself is legal, but a few plugins for kodi just used torrent to stream.. and thats illegal. so if a kodi plugin uses torrent systems for the streaming, it's wayne if you just "stream" it. torrent is torrent & will get you screwed. here in germany even plugins for kodi are illegal if they allow such stuff.

are you sure? because these topics are a delicate topic to my knowledge - even in america. some judges say "it's legal", but some are saying "it's illegal". it really seems to depens which judge you ask / get in the court. In Germany they told us a long time it's illegal. then they said it's legal to stream. Then suddenly they told us "nah, it's illegal if the source seems to be not 100% illegal". they want from us in germany to check by ourself if the source of the movie/other stuff seems to be 100% illegal. if the judges think "the source seems not 100% legal", the gonna screw you hard and say "why you used such a source? it's clear this source is illegal" etc.. even if it's not everytime the case. it's often a little bit like playing lotto.. you have luck and get a judge who say it's legal & okay, or you get one who totally screw you over. it's pure luck here in germany what will happen if they caught you. we are even got judges who tried to punish people who watched movies on [1/2]

a porn website. the porn producing company uploaded a movie by itself, and then tried to punish people who had watched this movie. they got the IP's illegally and was sending out letters like spam to 1000's of peoples and wanted cash. they even send letters to people who didn't even visited this website. streaming = you need to have luck or you get screwed.. atleast here in germany. but i think in america it's maybe the same with the luck. some may say it's legal, but some say too it's illegal if i look at the news i heard about cases in america about streaming stuff on the internet. No in America they are more about who downloads and who uploads not who just watchs. It is like this. If your friend downloaded a movie offline it is illegal. If they invite you over to watch and you watch it you are not in trouble. Not even if the cops bust in right than to arrest your friend for downloading the video you are watching when they came in.
That is what Kodi pretty much is. You are watching a video at a friends. Yoy dont own it. If you are caught no one cares they just care who uploaded it

" - it was the same in germany. the judges fought for months if streaming is illegal or not.. because streaming needs caching. so basicly you download a movie - even if it's not saved for a long period. some judges said thats a download, wayne if you watch it while it downloads.. some other judges said it's not a normal download because you don't save the movie for later use, so it's legal. every judge say something different about the system behind it & if it is legal or not. it's really luck based here in germany. in germany they too first just searched for the uploader.. but then the big struggle began because every judge think different about this topic. there where kodi plugins which basicly used torrents to stream movies..they declared it as illegal. even if it is just streaming. it really depend on the case & judge here.. i think it could be the same in america (soon?).

Because now it isn't. If you don't do stuff that is legal just because it might be illeagl one day than you might as well sit on the floor and do nothing. But not to long they might ban doing nothing.

do you know 100% if it is legal? because i heard a few cases in the news from america where people got screwed for streaming. but hey, if you think it's legal, just do it - it may be okay. but don't wonder if you get screwed some day by a judge who think different than the most judges.
