Aw what! That place is like a candy store full of every treat you could possibly imagine but in toy form, I hope they make it through or a similar company takes over

I knew it was inevitable but it's still sad to see it go

It doesn't mean it is going to close down they have a chance to try and get something sorted out
To me they were never my favorite store. Sure when I was a kid you'd walk in and see all the great toys but they were always more expensive than any where else. It was like being hungry and visiting an all you can eat buffet you couldn't afford to actually eat at.
We have one in my neighborhood. It used to be a bright, colorful building, and I would go in as late as mid-college to buy gifts or to grab myself a Lego set. I spent a LOT of money at this place. Then they 'renovated' and now it looks like some bland, uninviting institution. No windows, no colors except the surprisingly small sign. And it's a standalone store, nothing next to it to draw you in. I started avoiding it after that, just feels like a place they don't really want you to come into. Started doing my Christmas shopping for the kids elsewhere and bought my own stuff on Amazon.
I just get my legos at lego.com for them VIP points or at Wal-Mart when I'm going to get some groceries. I used to LOVE going to Toy's R Us too... they had a MUCH larger selection than Wal-Mart.
A) Bankruptcy doesn't mean they are going out of business, companies use it so they don't have to pay all their debtors. Trump did it several times, Kmart has done it, Home Depot has done it.
B) Between the stores and the distribution centers, it would be 10,000s if not close to 100,000 jobs, especially if they include the BabiesRus stores, IF they closed stores
C) Also, I like how the one person said they need to start selling ipads and cell phones, they have been doing that for years.
I don't wanna grow up I'm a Toys R Us Kid
They got a million toys at Toys R Us that I can play with
