Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

Pretty much any sport is dominated by persons who clearly have a certain disposition (an aptitude) for it PLUS hard work. Nobody says it won't take talented people any efforts, or that people with less talent cannot reach anything thru extremely hard efforts, but that's an exception to the rule. And that's basically the same in most areas. This guy's an idiot and what he does is not an actual sport. Look what happened when he met someone who really has a talent for what he does.
But there is a limit on your strength. You can train all your life and only max at 350 lbs while someone with better genetics could get that after a year. I'm no expert at weightlifting so I doubt this is accurate but it gets the point across. People have a maximum on their body that decides how fast, strong, or any other number of things you can be. This max is just higher on some people.
Better suited to a task does not equal talent, if somone is born with a body built for running you don't call them talented unless they actually have some skill in running. There are people who do get genetic traits to do something, but if they have no practice they probably are not very good. Talent is a mix between hard work and the luck of the draw.
Oh weird, so what you're saying is there are inherent, genetic differences between people that make them more qualified for certain jobs? That's odd, because I felt like there was a big ol' conversation at Google about exactly that thing....
The hard work thing applies to some things but not everything. If you want to be a doctor, but are average IQ, hard work and extra time studying could get you there. But if you want to be an NFL cornerback, unless you are naturally fast and have the brain type that processes objects flying through space and running down a field, you won't even be successful at a D1 college. There's more to boxing and ufc than merely hard work. You need higher than average pain tolerance, ability to recover quickly from hard training, fast twitch muscles, etc. There are things that many people couldn't do no matter how much they want it...out take from American idol prove that.
Another factor is luck. I know a few people who really would have had a shot at a major sport, but one with an injury missed his senior year and wasn't recruited (in addition to missing a year of practicing his craft and being coached). Another was hurt in a car accident, and although he walks ok, he's not lightning fast now
The statement in the meme is stupid AF though.
