Ugh. My dad is super into motercycles and I've been riding mopeds and shit since I was 14. It isn't required by law to wear a helmet in my state and it pisses me the fuck off that people just don't care. I would have literally never been born if my dad hadn't been wearing a helmet when he got into a bad crash. Please, keep yourself safe,

Well, I t-boned a car on my bike the other day when he did an illegal u-turn. If I hadn't been wearing the proper kit I'd be in a wheelchair the rest of my life. Instead I just got some spectacular bruising. Pay the money, wear the kit, save your life.

If I hadn't worn a proper kit when I was younger I'd have died since it would've been my face that split on a metal sign post instead of my helmet, granted I'm already ugly as hell so it'd probably been an improvement but still.

i'm a biker, where the proper gear whether it's cold or hot, even wear heavy leather jacket when it's 40 degrees celcius, i really don't understand guys that wear singlets, shorts and sneakers, or thongs (flip flops) on a bike. Know an EMT, and they seen the worst of what happens when these guys drop it

I wear a helmet most of the time but love living in a state where its optional no government sticking there nose in your business. Don't want to wear one your choice. Sky diving, white water rafting all dangerous all up to you. Your life your choice that's what freedom is all about.

yeah, remember the guy that died in New York, protesting mandatory helmet laws? he died while riding without a helmet, good times

ya man its like all those skydivers that there chute didn't open and they died hitting the ground more good times or the people drowning in there Owen swimming pool more good times maybe the government can ban all this stuff to keep us safe right? This is the problem if I have to explain you'll never get it. there is more to being alive then just staying alive.

i agree, a helmet skydiving is just decoration, but on a bike, i'd rather keep my brains inside my skull thank you.
