Working retail is the absolute worst because people hardly respect you. Sure you do get the nice customer every now and then, but most of the time you're dealing with miserable people who want to rage at anyone and anything
I used to be a "courtesy clerk," and honestly it was a welcome respite to be outside for 20 minutes and not cooped up behind the registers. That being said, return your carts to the corral.

When you work with mostly assholes, and have asshole customers, going out in the fresh air and grabbing some carts can make one's day. I didn't even mind if there were carts all the way on the flippin' sidewalk.
