Oh, no. How terrible that you should have to avoid saying horrible things to someone you ostensibly care about. It's just awful that the person who cares about you might pay enough attention to you to remember what you said.
It's not that, it's everything. My experience has been that when sufficiently irate, even the simplest of casual comments will be brought back up again and misconstrued (intentionally it seems) for use as "ammo" in the argument.
