I think future contracts will be written different. If you work at Target are you permitted to protest while in uniform and on the clock? Players are essentially employees in uniform causing unnecessary stress for their employers.

It's not as though they are doing this during gameplay

They are still doing it “at work”. It is having adverse affects in their employers bottom line.

Yup... Completely agree with their right to protest, but their "employer" has every right to allow or prohibit protesting while "at work"

I have to admit getting a job at Target is exactly like playing for the NFL.

Shall we use UPS drivers? USMC grunts? Burger King fry guys? Butchers? Bakers? Candlestick makers? It doesn’t matter, you’re an employee doing a job in a uniform being paid an agreed upon wage and you are expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner while wearing the uniform. Can the Fed-Ex guy stop and put up political signs on street corners between deliveries? Can the BK worker spit in the cops burger? What don’t you get about the employer/employee relationship?

Thank God someone said it! It's kneeling, not rubbing your taint on the American Flag. Peaceful protest isn't a dang controversy!
