I keep seeing things online about washing cats. I've had cats in my house for all three decades of my life and I can count on one hand how many times I remember situations requiring me to wash them. Are cat baths really this common?

I washed a cat a grand total of one time. It was only her butt, because she had horrible diarrhea and it got all up in her butt hair.

It depends on the breed. Long haired cats like Persians should be bathed once a week or so.

I need this. We can't bathe our cat because of my husband's AV Fistula, I can't do it by myself & can't afford getting him groomed.
