Looks like hardly much activity going on in the brain of the depressed.

Just had to check the image to make sure it wasn't from the walking dead. It isn't

Hmmm... Does this mean we can diagnose depression and other mental issues using brain scans? That might be an easier (if more expensive) option than going to a therapist.

That could work but every depressed person might not have results like this

Everyones brain is affected differently. And this was at one time, at another it may be almost indistingushable

Aww, that’s disappointing. It would have been nice to diagnose mental illness based on firm scans instead of questions. Asking questions is a good diagnosis method, but I feel like this would be easier on everybody.

I agree. There’s too many issues though, just like with questioning. With the scans the person may be having a good day and nothing would show up or their brain might not be affected in this way. And with the questioning the person may not be honest for one reason or another. I know I’ve had a few psychiatrists I wasn’t completely honest with because I didn’t feel comfortable. It took awhile to find the right one
