i dont understand this "nothing kills roaches" shit. ive killed plenty of roaches by squashing the fucks before.

A roach can live without it's head for 30+ days and only dies because it starves to death. Sure if you squash the whole bug it's dead, but if you just take it's head it'll stay alive.

the door has a rubber seal to prevent drafts and insects, and the roach picked the spot with the recess where the grout is. That's actually quite smart.
