Its also happened in Detroit, Buffalo, Philadelphia, India, and couple times in China

What's even funnier is the water would do literally nothing for those fires except make them worse lol

Dry hydrant, it gets its water directly from said river they are often used in areas where municipal water sources are scarce, too far away, or otherwise can't handle the demands of a water tanker or fire trucks.
