At first, I thought, "Oh this is fake. There's no way."
But then I downloaded the image and zoomed in to compare a curved section with the "straight" section pixel for pixel. And they're the same, accounting for image distortion in the download.
So the lines are as straight as I am. May look like it at first, but when you look closer you can clearly see it's not.
The points where the stripes on the lines meet are different adding to the illusion. The stripes on the curvy line are on the convex and concave points on the line. The stripes on the "zig zag" lines meet at the convex and concave points making them appear zig zaggier. Oh...upon researching this that is basically what causes the illusion....http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/neuroskeptic/2017/12/08/curvature-blindness-illusion/#.WjAWaVmIY0M
