It's not that internet itself is a human right, but freedom of speech is. I know that the 1st amendment protects us from government censorship, but corporate censorship will hurt just as bad.
Corporate censorship is not just as bad. Corporations can't arrest or kill you for building a better system or finding other workarounds, and freedom of speech allows you to say what you want without government interference. It doesn't entitle you to the internet any more than it entitles you to a printing press.
That'd be like saying the second amendment entitles you to a government issued M249.
The U.N. declares a lot of things. They also refuse to declare many others.
Regardless, I'm never gonna put much stock in an organisation where genocidal madmen and leaders of failed or terror states are given a platform and a vote.
And bribes? Where'd that accusation come from?
