Actually, observational studies have shown that heavy coffee drinkers have lower incidence of colo-rectal and prostate cancer.
My reaction to hearing this report is what informed me I had become a Skeptic with a capital S. My first thought was,
"Interesting. I wonder if it is causal, or if there's something that correlates to lifestyle. Something else that makes someone a heavy drinker that causes the lower incidence of the cancers."
Well, only think I can think of between choice and colon jis that coffee it is known to help w/ digestion, therefore leas constipation. (It is a generalization though, i am a heavy coffee drinker with frequent constipation, and my father and grandfather is/were Cuban so big on coffee and had prostate cancer)
