Cause they're a pest and fuck like all their other 10,000 kids are mistakes and eat everything else that other animals need to survive. Cute though

In the past they've had absolutely retarded amounts of problems with rabbit populations.

And they introduced rabbits infected with a lethal rabbit virus to control the rabbits but them rabbits just evolved to resist dying from said virus. So then they were stuck with a burgeoning local rabbit population, a new rabbit population, and a virus killing all the animals except the ones it was introduced to kill. Fun times!

They actually only do that in Queensland as far as I know. They’re perfectly legal in New South Wales
