Nah, if that $300 bag makes you feel awesome and you love it, buy it. Just as long as you remember that looks aren’t everything and memories are more important.

Not when you're an actual adult with a budget. Spending money however you like is not always wise
Having lived a few hours drive from NY in recent years, I can buy that $300 dollar bag for $10, use $10.50 for the Holland Tunnel toll, buy a hot dog and a soda from a cart for $7.50 and still get back home with $272. If I don't stop and buy the knockoff Manolo Blahnik heels for $50.
A $10 bag is not worth buying either. It will last about a month and you'll end up having keep buying $10 bags often to replace them. You dont need to buy a $300 bag, but spending a little more on quality is a wiser decision than continually buying cheap poor quality products that don't last.

To be fair some cheap bags can be good but most are gonna break my fiancée bought a bag for around £8-£10 about 2 years ago and it is still fine even after almost daily use
Dresses with pockets are out there- just pretty rare. It takes a lot of searching but it's worth it imho (even though maybe more dresses with pockets, or pants with usable sized pockets, or just ones that aren't on the freaking pants or jacket as decoration and don't actually have freaking pockets...!!! Would be nice.)
Just buy a second hand handbag if you like luxury brands. I buy my Louis Vuittons used and cheap.Note for the young ladies here, Never buy them shop price. Top brands don't lose value. Avoid cheap bags and copies. If you're job hunting, borrow an expensive bag. Hold it with confidence knowing its price tag. It's a confidence booster.
