I must be part monkey, for I too refuse to acknowledge others know something I don’t

I don't think this is 100% true. I just watched a documentary where they said that they teach each other, especially their young, techniques they learn to gather food and stuff.

It’s not implying that they can’t learn. It’s just saying that when they are taught language they don’t ask about anything, meaning they might not know what’s out there. They teach how to find food and other techniques because it’s what they were taught

They probably have the attitude towards learning that "When am I ever going to use this in real life? I don't want to spend any effort on something that may pay off later but because I can't foresee those circumstances I don't know what they might be."

"If I don't know what I don't know, how can I ask about something I don't know about?"

And since Trump voters seem offended by the very notion that other people could know things they don't -- well, I guess the conclusion is obvious.

I was gonna make an analogy to voters, since lots of people are so dogmatic that nobody else could have information that they themselves don't possess, or have a different set of priorities. But, dcottingham makes that point...as an anti-Trumpist, all Trump voters must be stupid since nobody else could possess knowledge or priorities that he/she doesn't. Congratulations, playa, you played yourself.
